Young World Writers and TRP Publishing House Announces Freedom Writers Are Guests Of Honor At Author Expo

Avondale, AZ, January 19, 2011:  Young World Writers and TRP Publishing House have today announced that The Freedom Writers will be the focus of attention and Guests of Honor at their Annual Author’s Expo.

Shaurad Moore and Maria Reyes whose lives were portrayed in the award winning film, “Freedom Writers” starring Hilary Swank and Patrick Dempsey will be speaking at the TRP Author’s Expo on March 5^th, 2011 to assist Lead Publisher Tonya Reed in launching the latest addition to her publishing company, “Young World Writers”.  Freedom Writers will share their inspiring personal stories of triumph – how they faced tough odds, growing up in poor neighborhoods affected by racism and violence.  Being affected by gangs and the racial division that resulted from the O.J. Simpson verdict and subsequent riots; they share stories of homes plagued by substance abuse, physical and mental abuse, absent parents, and learning disabilities.  Like most of the Freedom Writers, Maria and Shaurad disliked school and didn't expect to graduate high school, or for the most part, not even survive it.

The Freedom Writers share their incredible journeys of transformation while focusing on the power of writing.  They share stories of how reading and journaling sparked a change that began a long process of introspection for them, which ultimately re-charted their lives.

A detailed program will be announced in due time for TRP Author Expo which will take place March 4^th-March 5^th, 2011 at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Avondale, AZ.  TRP is an exclusive event for local/non-local Authors, aspiring writers and book industry professionals. Young World Writers is the latest addition to the TRP family.  Young World Writers (YWW) is a publishing company that only publishes children from the ages of 6-18 years.  The goal of YWW is to encourage and assist young people on their journey to becoming published Authors.  The writers are taught to not only use writing as a therapeutic tool, but also the importance of expressive writing.  YWW’s slogan is simply, “Creative Thoughts of the Next Generation”.
